RULES OF PARTICIPATION IN THE MAHATMA GANDHI HEALTH AND PEACE WALK
The Mahatma Gandhi Health and Peace Walk (henceforth ‘the Walk’) is a NON-COMPETITIVE EVENT. Consequently, there will be NO PRIZES OF ANY SORT given to participants.
Participants must comply with the City of New York Parks rules. Arise India Foundation reserves the right to change the details of the Walk.
Please note in particular the following rules and regulations.
For the safety of all participants, no skates, strollers, or animals are permitted in Walk.
Participants in the Walk must share the road or the designated route with other park users and pedestrians. Failure to do so may result in participants being disqualified from the Walk and barred from future events.
In accordance with City of New York Parks & Recreation rules, please use the toilet facilities provided by the City and by the Walk organizers.
The use of headphones is not allowed.
Participation is free but online registration is required.
Arise India Foundation reserves the right to reject any entry and to impose penalties for violations of any of these rules, including disqualifying and possibly banning violators from future similar events. This rejection/disqualification may be based on, but is not limited to, violation of the aforementioned rules, unseemly conduct, non-payment of requisite fees, and providing false information on the Walk entry forms.
